Low back pain is an extremely common problem that most people experience at some point in their life. Low back pain affects many individuals. Low back pain also affects work performance and social responsibilities, such as family life. Spinal disorders are ranked one of the top leading cause of disability with over half a billion people worldwide suffering from low back pain and more than a third of a billion from neck pain of more than 3 months duration. Low back and neck pain are the leading causes of years lived with disability in most countries and age groups.  

Current recommendations encourage to guide management with initial non-pharmacological treatment, including education that supports self-management and resumption of normal activities and exercise programs to help regain pain free movements.
